San Pablo Avenue

Streetscape Improvements

San Pablo Avenue Phase 2

The Vision

The City of Palm Desert will continue transforming San Pablo Avenue from Fred Waring Drive to Magnesia Falls Drive. San Pablo Avenue - Phase 2 improvements include two new roundabouts, one at Magnesia Falls Drive and one at the entrance to the College of the Desert.

Additional project features include enhanced pedestrian walkways, landscape/hardscape improvements, streetlighting, on-street parking, pedestrian crosswalks, improved bikeway facilities, complete removal and replacement of existing pavement, and traffic signal improvements.

These improvements will complement the recently completed Phase 1, south of Fred Waring Drive to Highway 111, and connect San Pablo to CV Link, the 40+ mile pathway that will provide a safe and active alternative transportation route across the Coachella Valley.
